Amazon's Shopper Marketing team are responsible for the strategic account support, insights and analytics critical to key advertiser verticals and their agencies. Amazon's SM team focuses on serving the advertisers to provide customer insights, strategic media planning, targeting recommendations, advertising effectiveness results, measurement and optimization of advertiser campaigns. We are looking for outstanding BIE's who will leverage quantitative methods to create scalable vertical insights and business analysis systems. Candidates should be comfortable automating the manipulation and analysis of data and working independently and proactively in a fast-paced, high volume environment. The work that is done by this team is influential in decision making and campaign evaluations. Specific Responsibilities: Analyze large amounts of Amazon's historical business data to develop advertising campaign insights or solve key advertising client business problems.Design, develop, and evaluate highly innovative models and scorecards to understand our client's business growth. -Partner with software engineering and product management teams to drive analytical product development and innovative new features.
· Track general business activity and automate clear, compelling reports and presentation inputs.
· Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.
- Develop, document and maintain consistent QA processes for data evaluation

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant software development experience
  • High proficiency in SQL, R, SAS, Stata, or other data manipulation or analysis language.
  • Proficiency in Excel
    Experience with BI tools such as OBIEE or Microstrategy
  • Previous exposure to VBA
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field including basic coursework in statistics is preferred.
