We are currently seeking a Custom Solution Sales Director with our ad sales organization.  Key responsibilities include the following:   
  • Coordinate with content team (editorial or custom content) to create opportunities for content alignment
  • Investigate new distribution channels for content, including but not limited to print, digital, mobile, social, live events, newsletters, brochures, video, webinars, apps
  • Work closely with layout and ad operations to ensure that the ads run appropriately within the paper, WSJDN, Magazine, etc.
  • Prepare reports used by management and sales teams for forecasting, analysis, and budgeting
  • Prospect new partnerships and opportunities with third party content providers and vendors
  • Keep close eye on competitive landscape, highlighting trends with competitive products and finding innovative new opportunities to stay ahead
  • Build strong relationship with the WSJ global sales team, through proactive approach, building trust and a guarantee to deliver strong solutions for their clients
  • Prospect new industries/categories and dig deeper with existing WSJ client relationships to make new contacts and find new budgets
  • Ensure that the sales team has the required sales materials and support information for sales calls and RFP responses
  • Work with marketing team to develop new programs for sales team, complete with product detail, pricing, client benefits
  • Present programs to sales team on franchise call, specific team meetings or directly to an individual rep
  • Pull in editorial team to update sales team on products, trends, etc.
  • Work with marketing to create customized presentations and one-sheets outlining newly developed programs
