Salary Description:


- Assist with press strategy, media inquiries, and events for NBC News Digital portfolio brands and leadership
- Write, distribute and pitch press releases to various outlets, including social media, based on announcement topics
- Create, manage and evolve press lists for NBC News Digital press releases
- Manage the NBC News Digital speaker series program
- Update bios and headshots for NBC News Digital staff
- Manage NBC News Digital’s Speaking Events tracker and staff events when needed
- Update lists of industry awards and editorial calendars related to digital news/content



- Minimum 2-3 years working in public relations (agency, corporate, news organization) and/or digital news
- Must have working knowledge of the digital news space, including social media, apps for mobile/ devices, the competitive landscape and the digital business in general.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Must be a strong writer with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, social media and have basic computer skills.
