The ideal candidate has a gift for communicating differentiated brand identities, proven written and oral communication skills, and a desire to work with a driven team of individuals in a small, but fast-paced environment.

The Marketing Copywriter primarily supports our platform development/author brand strategy team and captures the essence of author positioning in analyses and statements, can write in tones appropriate for differing primary audiences, and works alongside the brand/platform and marketing teams to refine the messaging involved in multiple author platform development components (ie, social media strategy, website copy, author brand audit, etc). The Marketing Copywriter also contributes to other departments in the company as needed.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience as a copywriter in a marketing or creative agency or equivalent experience juggling demands for writing in different formats and voices for varying audiences. The successful candidate will:
?Draft compelling and meaningful positioning and audience identification documents for a broad range of authors, aligned with the vision and direction of the Client and Client Brand Manager
?Integrate author development work with other departments, including but not limited to editorial, distribution, and marketing
?Work across departments to build and refine innovative author development services
?Have demonstrated experience writing b-to-b and b-to-c copy
?Show a track record for juggling multiple projects simultaneously and expeditiously
?Participate in brainstorming sessions
?Lead in-person and/or phone meetings with existing and potential authors to refine market focus
?Strive to provide superior author experiences and solutions
?Research emerging industry trends and new client service opportunities
?Provide team support and miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Key qualifications:
?The ability to quickly gain a thorough understanding of our industry positioning, general author profile, strategic goals, and concerns
?Superior written communication skills; copyediting skills, oral communication skills
?Working knowledge of graphic design
?3+ years of relevant work experience
?Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing (blogs, social media, etc)
?Experience supporting both B2B and B2C writing is highly desirable
?Comfortable working in a highly cross-functional organization
?Must be innovative, progressive and have a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
?Creative, analytical problem solver with a bias towards action
?A portfolio of branding/positioning work, preferably related to business services
?Strong computer skills (both MAC and PC), proficiency with MS office applications a must
?Experience working with speakers or thought leaders a plus
?Bachelor's degree, preferably with emphasis in marketing/communications
?Work well independently and as a part of a team
?A fantastic sense of humor
