Position: Financial Analyst

Location: New York

Description: Reports to VP, Financial, Planning & Analysis. The analyst will provide analytic, financial planning, and strategic support to select operating areas and Finance management. The ideal candidate is a self starter with strong interpersonal and partnering skills who enjoys a broad range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

-Build and manage budget and other financial models.
-Support financial planning initiatives including long term planning, budgeting, monthly forecasting and reporting.
-Support cross-functional effort to identify and report key financial, operational, and performance metrics. Analyze variances and highlight key trends.
-Support monthly accounting close and variance reporting, including preparation of monthly reporting packs.
-Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
-Develop strong working relationship with budget managers across the network to coordinate collection of monthly financial information and ensure timely reporting of issues.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:

-3-7 years finance experience.
-Prior experience working in television or media is preferred. Ability to work independently, under pressure and to manage deadlines.
-Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
-Excellent analytical skills. A strategic thinker who is also proficient in modeling in-depth analyses from the ground up using Excel.
-Must have excellent working knowledge of Excel. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of planning systems (Microsoft Dynamics & FRx, SAP) preferred.
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with work experience in a financial, quantitative, or analytical role.
