International Ad Sales Coordinator - PublicitasPublicitas, the world's largest media representation firm, sells advertising on behalf of premium media (mostly print, digital, mobile) throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Canada. We currently have an opening in our New York office for a Media Sales Coordinator to work closely with our sales account managers.The successful candidate will provide sales support for international digital and print media with the opportunity to grow into a junior sales position within the organization over time. The main responsibilities include:•Support and collaborate with account managers to research international media (print and online; some broadcast and out-of-home)•Gather rates, specs, and other media data; compile data in Excel and PowerPoint for presentations and proposals•Liaise with international contacts at publishers•Eventually, communicate directly between advertising clients and their agencies•Create and distribute sample copies of magazines and other client communications•Prepare monthly activity reports for publishers•Follow up on advertiser requests for information•Traffic advertising materials The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, eager to pitch in and learn, and have some basic experience working in a sales organization, preferably in the media industry, or in media planning at an advertising agency or in the media department on the client side. Experience with digital campaigns, digital trafficking, and technology a huge plus.Team-spirited, with a can-do attitude, the ideal candidate also has excellent interpersonal skills and a keen interest in global media overall. His skills should include:•Superior math skills to handle proposals•Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once and prioritize according to importance of project and not in the order it was assigned•Must be used to working in a multicultural environment•Must be fluent in English (spoken, written) •Fluency in another language is a plus •Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint•Good knowledge of European, Middle-Eastern and Asian geography, time zones, and currencies•Must have proper authorization to work in the USThis position is based in Publicitas’ New York office and potential start date would be mid-March 2013.Please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org(February 2013) Include resume in text of email.
