1.Managing projects on-time and on-budget according to SOPs and client standards:
a.Oversee development of the project brief with the client, work with other members of the delivery team to deliver projects (publications, meetings, multimedia, thought leader development, customized products to name a few) in accordance with the needs of the client and target audience.
b.Work as part of the delivery team and provide input to all project discussions adding value with creative ideas, concepts or suggestions.
c.Develop and implement budgets and milestones with client teams on all projects.
d.Communicate project status and milestone achievement with delivery team and SH colleagues.
e.Alert colleagues to any potential problems in a timely manner.
f.Be aware of specific SH style guidelines and working procedures and adhere to SH project processes.
g.Utilize client facing skills to update client on projects and discuss and agree to changes to the project specification where necessary.
h.Act as the primary point of contact for current clients and clinical experts during the implementation of a project.
i.Be part of the on-site team for scientific meetings; the client service manager?s role may include;
i.leading and managing the on-site team
ii.ensuring all logistical aspects of the slide previews
iii.carrying out the front-of-house role during the symposium
iv.ensuring faculty are briefed regarding timing and the meeting format
v.liaising with the PowerPoint/AV Manager, Medical Writer, where appropriate
vi.distributing the abstract book and any other materials
j.Attend and manage client meetings as part of the delivery team, as required.
k.Attend and manage internal status meetings with team, including updating all meeting minutes and meeting reports.
l.Ensure projects are managed or delegated and delivered despite conflicting schedules and increased workloads.
2.Build and sustain long-term influential business relationships with client team(s):
a.Develop and maintain awareness and understanding of the client?s market, product profile, competitors and trends.
b.Keep an overview of issues arising with clients within account team(s) and work with Client Services Director, Account Director to ensure they are resolved so that future relationships are not damaged.
3.Effectively oversee all financial aspects of SH accounts:
a.Development of full budget proposals based on client brief including liaison with delivery team regarding hours and costs.
b.Effectively manage account finances including ensuring new project codes are raised, invoices are raised at the appropriate times, financial tracking is carried out, including highlighting any changes in budget or specification are raised (and agreed) with the clients, through to final reconciliations.
c.Effectively manage and keep up to date the internal financial tracking tools (ie, Central Time) with all financial information.
4.Provide estimates revenue forecasting for SH:
a.On a monthly basis, provide a revenue report and forecast for current accounts .
b.Assist the financial team by advising on the phased revenue uptake of Medical Communication activities.
5.Work with the Sales Team to provide commercially driven input into business development activities:
a.Contribute to new business proposals/RFPs and pitches including slide development and attending pitches.
6.Cross company support:
a.Provide support for delivery to other Springer companies where required.
b.Liaise with other Springer companies to promote SH products and services, participating in joint pitches where required.
7.Domestic and some international travel required
8.Any other duties as required by your manager
?Minimum of 5 years? experience in a Medical Communications Agency or Pharmaceutical company is essential.
?College Degree (or equivalent), preferably in life sciences. College degree in marketing with experience in the pharmaceutical industry also acceptable.
?Experienced handling a variety of clients, plus project managing a large workload over a number of different accounts.
?An understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the drug development process required.
?Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft packages a must.
?Expertise with desktop publishing software preferred.
?Hands-on knowledge of Datavision and Access databases a plus.
?Presents clearly and confidently to the highest level of customer.
?Plans for resourcing depending of the needs of the existing accounts.
?Able to organically grow existing accounts.
?Keeps up to date with Pharmaceutical Industry news in order to apply to day to day activities.
?Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
?Excellent interpersonal, organizational and financial skills.
?Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
?Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
