Kiplinger.com is looking for a talented person with a passion for social media to help guide our company’s engagement through social networks. This person will work with editors and writers for the Web site, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, the Kiplinger Letter, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, and other Kiplinger publications, as well as the company’s business development and marketing teams.

Essential Functions:

•Develop and direct social media strategies and policies for the company.
•Manage Kiplinger’s primary Twitter account, Facebook page, Tumblr, and other social media accounts, including weekly live chats on Facebook.
•Train staff, other account managers on social media tools and best practices
•Track and interpret social analytics to help inform audience development efforts.

Desired Skill Sets:

•One-two years of experience in the field of social media.
•Familiarity with Omniture, Google Analytics, Facebook analytics, and bit.ly a plus.
•Using and adapting new media to compliment branding, customer service and engagement online.
•Ability to evaluate potential vendors to fulfill social media requirements and advance Kiplinger editorial and business development goals.
