A confident leader and a talented marketer, the Senior Manager oversees the development of core assets such as go-to-market strategies, integrated communication plans, core messaging, personas, and sales enablement tools. The Senior Manager brings experience in managing marketing launches for new products and is equally adept at a full range of marketing activities--from writing terrific Web copy and leveraging social media to building strategic plans and working across functions. S/he works well independently as well as a member of a fast-moving, agile team. S/he is fully versed in SEO and SEM, social media, and online professional and career networks. S/he understands what motivates community engagement and how to create compelling calls to action and persuasive sales materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the natural ability to lead teams to successful launches and profitability while managing rapidly evolving product portfolios and leads.Principal Responsibilities: •In conjunction with the Chief Marketing Officer and other key stakeholders, oversee marketing strategy for acquiring and retaining online community members—from leading initial marketing launch to managing community into maturity.•Creates and maintains a methodology that illuminates product strengths and opportunities for improvement based on market demand and competitive activity.•Own and manage strategic interactions with the sales team and develop a collaborative approach to problem-solving and communication.•Partner with other product marketing colleagues to develop strategic selling tools, including strategic messaging and differentiated positioning; and sales training programs.Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree required (MBA a plus).•Demonstrated on-the-job training in managing multiple priorities, developing processes and systems for operational excellence, and instilling a data-driven approach to product marketing.•5+ years of marketing experience with a track record of leading and/or contributing to complex, high-stakes marketing launches.•Experience building, engaging, and retaining thriving online communities.•Strong creative problem-solving, strategic, and critical thinking skills.•Experience building creative and effective sales enablement programs in collaboration with key stakeholders.•Knowledge of higher education/nonprofit and media sectors is a plus.How to Apply:Interested candidates should send a cover letter within the body of the email as well as a résumé and salary requirements to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Senior Manager, Acquisition and Retention Marketing” in the subject heading.
