is currently looking for a Sales Manager to cover the Marketplace & Direct Response categories for a premiere national outdoor magazine and outdoor website. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and implement new business strategies to increase sales across print, digital & event platforms.

The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once while increasing advertising revenue across an assigned territory. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability develop and present strategic presentations to client executives. Additionally, a passion for prospecting and uncovering hidden opportunities is a must. The position requires aggressive phone outreach and email communication.

Primary responsibilities of the position include:
•Sell magazine & online advertising plus event sponsorships to existing client base as well as prospects.
•Develop new sales opportunities through strong prospecting skills.
•Prepare strong presentations, proposals & sales contracts.
•Establish & maintain current client and potential client relationships

Candidate Requirements
•Passion for outdoor recreation and outdoor brands
•Aggressive sales nature; willing to work the phones the majority of the day
•1-3 years experience selling print and digital advertising for consumer media
•Ability to demonstrate past sales achievements – revenue vs. quota
•Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
•Bachelor’s Degree
