• 3-5 years of industry experience—conducting publicity campaigns for consumer goods company—previous gift and stationery experience a plus.

• Established relationships with high-level media contacts and strong track record of successful placement in major national media.

• Excellent communication skills—written and oral are essential with strong attention to detail.

• Must be a natural “people person” who is outgoing, funny and not afraid of rejection. Ability to network to earn the trust of journalists by always being honest and available.

• Patience and flexibility are extremely important—sometimes holding odd hours and being able to work within a specific opportunity and time frame.

• Ability to think like a journalist or editor—creating stories tailored to support Knock Knock. Offer tips to media to keep their sections original and exciting.

• High level of commitment and team spirit.

• Ability to organize and schedule work effectively and efficiently, independently meeting deadlines.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial climate and sometimes stressful environment, with periodic crunches for deadlines—a self-starter with a can-do orientation that identifies smart, creative, and innovative methods to complete tasks.

• Must be intelligent, calm under pressure, exceedingly well organized, able to handle multiple projects and tasks at the same time, detail oriented, with strong work ethic, personal investment, integrity, and sense of humor a must.
