TASCHEN America is seeking a

Northeastern US Sales Representative (F/M)

The position is New York-based and the territory includes NY, NJ, CT, MA, and the Washington DC area. A successful candidate will represent TASCHEN publications to the retail book trade, museums, specialized retailers, and special markets to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth.

Your duties and responsibilities:

• To promote, sell, and secure orders from all existing accounts and customers within the designated territory
• To grow and maintain relationships with current accounts
• To generate new business with prospective accounts and customers
• To prepare sales reports for management and clients
• To forecast trends that best suit TASCHEN titles

Your profile:

• A background in publishing, the arts, fashion, or culture
• Experience in selling to national accounts
• Knowledge of the New York area
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations
• Outgoing, ambitious, and flexible with excellent communication skills
• Ability to relate to many different types of people with confidence and ease
• Ability to work well within a team and independently
• Excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft Office
• Experience in working within a global company
• Education includes a BA level or equivalent and/or relevant work experience
• Strong awareness of and engaged interest in TASCHEN’s profile and publications
• Valid driver’s license
