NJFPR seeks a talented PR pro for a Senior Account Supervisor position. The Senior Account Supervisor is the principal client contact and is responsible for the management of accounts and supervision of an account team. This position reports to the Associate Director and President. The primary function of the SAS is to provide the necessary planning, organization, direction, promotion, coordination and control to meet the marketing PR goals of clients and the operational goals of the agency. The person in this position must be able to manage multiple responsibilities including counseling clients with both strategic and tactical initiatives and managing a team through effective leadership, delegation and guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Independently prepare all account documents including programs, action plans and timelines
•Provide account team with supervision and guidance.
•Provide strategic direction and drive accounts
•Actively participate in new business development
•Generate and maintain well written materials needed for press kits and releases
•Maintain key relationships with top media and industry affiliates
•Pro-actively generate story ideas and pitch to targeted media
•Oversee quality controls in agency

QUALIFICATIONS:

•BA/BS degree and 6 or more years prior experience in public relations, preferably in the travel industry
•Accomplished in marketing and strategy development
•Proven account management skills and proficiency
•Experience in developing and executing strategic plans and programs
•Demonstrated outstanding knowledge of media, industry and lifestyle trends
•Proven track record of well-targeted media placements and established relationships with media
•Excellent organizational and communication skills
•Solid understanding of evolving digital landscape and social media
•Able to work well independently and as an individual contributor on a team
