•Work closely with DailyCandy leadership team to understand the business goals and effectively communicate them.
•Develop and execute a consumer press strategy to raise the spotlight on DailyCandy’s editorial content –and securing a regular presence for a the DailyCandy spokesperson on the various media outlets.
•Develop and execute B-to-B press strategies to highlight DailyCandy business wins, including ad sales deals, product collaborations, etc.
•Capitalize on PR opportunities and speaking engagements at key industry conferences, trade shows and film festivals.
•Oversee all aspects of internal communications to create a positive work culture at DailyCandy and keep employees informed about the state of the business.
•Press Relations: identify, establish, & maintain personal relationships w/ key contacts in the press. Manage press crisis/conflict situations.
•Develop high quality, creative, and well written material for distribution to media.
•Ensure that executives are well prepped and media trained for all press interviews and public speaking engagements.
•Work closely with VP of Communications to ensure DailyCandy fits into the broader NBCU message.


•Minimum of 7 years of experience in Communications and/or Publicity in the media/entertainment industry
•Must have digital experience/press relationships
•Bachelor's degree in a related field
•Must have proven track-record of creating buzz and maximizing press opportunities

Eligibility Requirements:
•Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
•Must be willing to work in New York, NY

•Strong media contacts in the entertainment/digital/ space.
