Amazon’s Services Sales Operations team is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer for Sales Operations who will be responsible for driving the design and execution of critical Data Warehouse projects that support Amazon’s Services North America Sales team. The Sales team drives recruiting and development of Sellers for the various programs like Selling on Amazon, Fulfillment by Amazon, Product Ads, Webstore, and Payments. You will be part of the Sales Operations team for North America Sales and will be responsible for providing technical strategy and direction for the US Channel Virt, the SFDC Virt, and the 3rd Party Sales Virt (Spartan). You will also partner with the Amazon Data Warehouse team to ensure that the 3rd Party data needs are being met in a scalable way.

you should have deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to understand data requirements, and to build ETL to ingest the data into the Data Warehouse. You should be expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the Data Warehouse and into end-user facing reporting applications. Above all you should be passionate about working with huge data sets and someone who loves to bring datasets together to answer business questions and drive change.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, and 6+ years of relevant employment experience.

  • 6+ years work experience in using SQL and databases in a business environment.
  • Experience operating very large Data Warehouses.
  • Solid Oracle and Linux skills.
  • Solid communication skills and team player.
  • A passion for technology. We are looking for someone who is keen to leverage their existing skills while trying new approaches.
