Atavist Books is a new digital and physical book publisher working in partnership with the Atavist.com (www.theatavist.com) one of the most exciting digital platforms for publishing and distributing content for mobile apps, the web, and e-readers. Founded by Barry Diller, Scott Rudin and Frances Coady, and backed by IAC, Atavist Books will release both enhanced and text-only digital publications across all devices including iOS, Kindle, Nook, Kobo. The company's emphasis will be on new business models for both print and digital.

The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for all marketing and promotional activities for the Atavist Books brand, titles, and authors. Specific responsibilities include:

* Work closely with the publisher and business team to create unique, compelling, and effective marketing strategies for all digital and print books and monitor marketing budgets per book
* Create and compile assets, material, keywords, etc. for all promotions
* Execute paid advertising campaigns (digital and print) through target sites/publications
* Implement social media promotions across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc) and work with authors on their social media presence
* Work closely with the business director on direct-to-consumer sales and promotion strategy
* Provide information and promotional material to the sales force for online and in-store placement
* Partner with third-party companies and sites for unique promotional opportunities
* Report results and provide analytics, feedback, and benchmarks for all campaigns

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree
* 7+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience (publishing background a plus)
* Expertise in online advertising and social media marketing
* Experience with digital analytics tools
* Must know Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and some HTML
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent project planning skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small team environment
