POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Corporate Bureau is looking for a reporter to cover the wild world of retail. The position will be based in New York with responsibility for apparel, department stores and shifts in the broader industry. The job offers a chance to cover outsized personalities like Ron Johnson, Eddie Lampert and Mickey Drexler; household names like Macy's, JC Penney and Sears; and an industry that is being remade -- and in some cases, undone -- by technology. The beat also offers an entry point for writing about big issues like the health of the consumer, demographic shifts and privacy.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: We're looking for an aggressive reporter who can build sources, break news and bring a fresh eye to an industry that everyone knows but which is always changing.
