The emerging brands in the food category at Scripps Networks Interactive are seeking a Manager, Community & Audience Development for Food.com, who will report into the Director, Audience Development.

This high-visibility role will oversee day-to-day operations of the Food.com community and social platforms. Duties include facilitating empowering conversations, creating engaging opportunities and executing robust end-to-end programs with, and for, the vibrant community of passionate food fans and home cooks.

The ideal candidate is a highly-talented individual with a passion for community development, social media, digital trends and strategies, knowledge of SEO / SEM, and experience with web analytics to benchmark audience development.

We’re seeking an ambitious, passionate self-starter who can yield positive results with limited resources and oversight.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Create and execute initiatives and strategies to engage existing and prospective community members while simultaneously achieving key business targets, ad sales goals and building the brand
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members, other content sites, bloggers, contributors and various web portals
- Work to build and implement of community acquisition strategies and then share analytics on those endeavors
- Surface community-shared content in exciting and relevant ways, including, but not limited to, the transformation and creation of editorial, blog posts, instructional articles, and galleries
- Develop and execute various customer engagement campaigns, with the intent of converting new site visitors into contributing community participants
- Identify new opportunities and partnerships to grow audience participation through the lens of community development and loyalty building
- Coordinate efforts with the company’s customer service department to ensure that customer inquiries and issues are resolved in a timely manner

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of content production with strong writing and editorial abilities required
- Familiarity with web analytics (e.g. Omniture, Google Analytics) and ability to pull that data and report on trends
- Experience with photo-editing software such as Photoshop
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Exposure to basic front-end web development, such as HTML and JavaScript, preferred
- History with community platforms (e.g. phpBB, jForum, Jive, etc.) or content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Endeca PageBuilder, Adobe CQ, etc.)
- Passion for digital media, food and people
- Independent, self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and keen analytical skills
- Highly creative, strategic thinker with strong time management skills and strategic vision
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with other teams

Educational and Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, computer science, communications or equivalent education / experience
- 3+ years of community management and / or digital marketing campaign planning and execution
