The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s health, is seeking a sales professional to increase sales and market share of our digital and print publications in the institutional market.

The Institutional Sales Manager is responsible for opening new accounts and building sales at existing accounts including libraries, hospitals, group practice networks, universities, and corporations. Key responsibilities include creating a sales and marketing network, developing and managing relationships with institutional and academic customers and distributors, exhibiting at conferences, setting review targets, and monitoring performance.

The right candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience, plus four to five years of sales/marketing experience in medical or professional publishing, with at least two years devoted to selling digital subscription products. Experience cultivating and maintaining solid business relationships, developing complex pricing structures, and negotiating with licensees and business partners is essential.
