Position Description:
Assistant to Creative Director.

Major Responsibilities:

• Assisting Creative Director with design and administrative tasks
• Administrative duties include answering the phone, securing rights and preparing purchase orders for vendors, expense reports, tracking of cover design
• Preparing mechanical art (approx. 15-20 per month)
• Designing spine, back cover and flaps
• Eventual front cover designs
• Handling jacket-related/design requests from internal departments
• Interacting with freelance artists, authors and artist agencies

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Adobe suite
• InDesign
• Photoshop
• Illustrator
• After Effects a plus
• Very strong organizational skills
• Verbal/communication skills
• Multi-tasker
• Able to work with others

Experience Needed:

• Some design experience, internship or other


Educational Background Required:
• Minimum 4 Years of art school
