We seek an experienced individual to help launch and run our VMI program using analytics to hone our inventory selection on a store-by-store basis. Working closely with our supply chain and sales departments to refine their recommendations, the VMI Analyst will have the opportunity to have a significant positive impact on our sales and inventory levels at our retail accounts. This position reports to the Senior Director of Supply Chain & Operations and has the following responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:
• Work with Retailer Buyers, Merchandisers and National Account Managers to establish VMI backlist models considering store types, customer’s sales, seasonality, current events, promotions, inventory and in-stock goals.
• Recommend assortment adds and deletes based on sales analysis.
• Ensure POS data integrity.
• Establish VMI parameters, calculations and data feeds as they pertain to the accurate generation of replenishment orders.
• Publish and distribute VMI in-stock percentage, weeks of supply, sales metrics and other Key Performance Indicators that measure our VMI performance.
• Recommend system and process enhancements to achieve on-going improvements to the overall VMI development and supply chain goals.
• Communicate with Supply Chain planning to coordinate orderly production of physical books for model replenishment and promotional opportunities.
• Suggest VMI parameters in response to consumer demand, promotional opportunities, cooperative merchandising and other variables that may influence store models.
• Identify inventory integrity issues and resolve by coordinating an update to the stores on hands.
• Monitor each accounts ship to POS ratio by item summary and by store summary and reconcile against current on hands being reported.
• Provide analysis and reporting to support publishing units in the acquisition and marketing process.
Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Outstanding analytical and planning skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be well organized, self-motivated, and focused on meeting deadlines and strong ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with MS-Office programs with excellent working knowledge of Excel required
• Experience using business intelligence software (Impromptu, Cognos) a plus but not necessary
• Experience using Cinram/Vision a plus but not necessary

Experience Needed:

• • 5+ years of professional experience in a related field, 2+ years in a supply chain or operational preferred.
Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
