Position Summary:
The Director of Production will oversee the video content production and operations of all Tribeca projects and manage a team of producers to execute the initiatives of the production department. Reporting to the EVP Development and Production, the role will have ultimate responsibility for building the audience of the Tribeca online portal, developing content through national distribution platforms, as well as developing digital extensions of the Tribeca Film Festival.

Core Responsibilities:
•Oversee the production and post-production department; including managing staff (full-time and seasonal) and work flow for all film and video projects being produced by the content group
•Manage the outreach and collection of scripts and concepts from external writers and producers and create the production schedule to manage and produce these concepts
•Collaborate with the internal creative team to develop the creative for web, video and brand concepts and oversee the plans around their execution; taking the lead from conception through to the final product
•Create a process to streamline the communication between various departments and the creative team, while managing the delivery expectations
•Develop and manage a budget with regard to operations and capital expenditures
•Continually develop a list of potential creative partners and collaborators that can be accessed regularly to complete projects on time and within budget
•Work closely with the in-house legal team on contract requirements and to obtain the necessary releases during shooting
•Oversee the purchasing or rental of equipment for production and post-production needs and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained
•Work in collaboration with the Tribeca Film marketing team on production and post-production of all “value added” content, as well as promotional assets to be used in marketing the films on a variety of distribution platforms
•Work with internal and external constituents such as producers and distributors to ensure correct format and delivery of content and manage internal technical resources and capabilities
•Oversee all production aspects of the Tribeca Film Festival related to branding, creative, marketing, original content production and some featured events. Specialty responsibilities for the festival will include:
- Supporting the team with sponsorship activation deliverables, e.g. Preparing sizzle reels for sponsors, etc.
- Curating the trailer package and or b-roll packages for sponsors and press, as needed
- Collaborating with various departments to shoot and edit festival footage
- Scheduling crews for press and red carpet events
- Shooting and editing VOD extras and talent barker reads
•Conduct team performance evaluations, including setting SMART goals and creating opportunities for training and development
•Work with HR to recruit and manage a group of production interns
