Senior Editor/Motion Graphic Designer
Position Summary:The Senior Editor/Motion Graphic Designer will provide creative output for video projects produced by Tribeca. This role will report to the EVP, Development and Production and work collaboratively with the Video, Creative, Design and Editorial Directors. Core Responsibilities:•Provide offline editorial for all Tribeca content including, but not limited to: original digital series, festival coverage, and marketing materials•Work with in house designers to create motion graphics and video compositing for Tribeca original content video projects•Oversee and mentor the work of Editors on the team•Ensure the highest quality in audio-video editing (Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro) and program audio and video to conform to a wide variety of codecs, frame rates and frame sizes•Refine and develop the necessary workflows and systems for the digitizing, encoding and transcoding of video material for the content department, the website, YT channel, and off-channel partners•Work closely with colleagues in content, programming, strategic partnerships and marketing with regard to Tribeca properties and relationships•Work closely with internal teams to create production schedules to ensure timely delivery of video assets•Stay current on motion graphic design trends and push for innovation not imitation•Stay current with the integration standards of third party content management platforms (cable operators, websites etc.)•Technical oversight of all media dissemination from distribution partners for the content department and Tribeca•Pitch and develop original content and the production of such content•Provide recommendations for future equipment purchases and develop a maintenance plan for all equipment•Develop and maintain contact information and relationships with a variety of freelancers including editors•Work with the Director of Production and Producers in the compilation and updating of the metadata of assets, pulling film clips for marketing, press for promotional use and identifying selects and b-roll department editing projects, as well as creating DVDs and Blu-ray screeners of films and film assets•Work closely with Tribeca Film Festival staff including the Filmmaker, Web, Print Traffic, Press and departments in the coordination and dissemination of shared assets (Festival Trailers, Video Biographies, etc.)•Assist in the compilation and updating of media according to partner specifications for use in scheduling VOD exhibition of feature films and short-form contentApplicants may submit their resume in Word or pdf format to resumes@Tribecafilm.com including the position title in the subject line of the email.
