MAC Advertising Designer


Boutique financial information company seeks a Creative Designer to lead visual designs and interactive experiences for both digital and print projects. You have strong branding, visual design and UX design capabilities. You will be hands on and work on the mobile development side as well. Your experience spans both B2B and consumer facing media sites.

You have a great eye for detail and are passionate about design and typography. Your solid understanding of the principles of digital design and technological awareness enable you to push design boundaries with the utmost focus on usability. Tight deadlines and demanding clients don’t phase you -- you consistently produce high quality output. You are adept at managing strict release schedules for content releases, upgrades, and print projects.

You thrive in an environment of change. Your understanding of the financial information space enables you to go the extra mile and think creatively to propose concepts and ideas that support achievement of business goals.

Your responsibilities include:

•Create innovative designs for web site, HTML email and newsletter templates, marketing collateral and a suite of printed reports.
•Create code to execute creative designs, including graphics, videos, and text.
•Infuse designs with knowledge of both usability and search engine optimization
•Follow style guides and ensure that designs are in accordance with brand strategy and guidelines.
•Collaborate with marketing team to ensure all designs coordinate with and support marketing programs.
•Continuously improve the web site with new designs to keep site current and innovative, and optimized for mobile access.
•Direct freelance resources as needed to manage peaks in work flow.


•7-9 years interactive design and art direction experience including visual design, interface design and print design.
•Experience with news and content-based websites, branding and identity projects, print products and collateral.
•BFA/BS/BA Graphic Design, Art, Multimedia or closely related field.
•Strong skills in Adobe CS including Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator.
•Ability to translate business goals and functional requirements into compelling design solutions.
•Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, and its application to web design, web standards, usability, SEO, best practices, HTML5, javascript and AC3 a plus.
•Knowledge and experience of multimedia content authoring tools.
•Excellent inter-personal relationship skills required.
•MAC and PC proficiency, and thorough knowledge of MS Office suite required.
