Senior Marketing Manager
NewBay Media’s Music division is hiring a Senior Marketing & Events Manager to join our growing marketing department. This Senior Marketing & Events Manager will work closely with the Marketing Director, Group Publisher and Vice President to coordinate all of our brands marketing, events, and sales initiatives.The NewBay Media Music Group is the proud home of Revolver, Guitar World, Guitar Player, Bass Player, Guitar Aficionado, Electronic Musician and Keyboard and their associated print, digital, and event properties . We are also the home of the Golden Gods Awards Show, The Rock & Roll Roast, Bass Player Live and several other great live events.?Responsibilities:• Collaborate across all departments and brands to tactically deliver a suite of marketing strategies for the music division• Create, design and execute detailed media kits , sales pitches, and custom marketing programs for all of our brands across print, digital, and events.• Partner across channels and teams to develop and execute engaging, productive multi-tiered marketing campaigns• Maintain marketing and event-specific budgets and make recommendations for improvements based on Budget-to-Actual analysis• Gather and organize marketing research and readers surveys for all brands in our division• Work with our national sales team to develop custom campaigns for our client base• Travel for event planning, presentations, sales meetings and event execution• Assist Marketing Director with sponsorship package development and strategies and vendor outreach• Manage resources and vendor/partner relationships for each event• Management of service providers, volunteers, and temporary workforce during event build and execution• Work with the Accounting department to manage payment to all partners and ensure financial control documents are up to dateQualifications:• Strong team spirit• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment• Ability to create and design solutions that address client needs.• Organized and attentive to detail• Focused on results• Creative problem-solver• Driven, passionate approach.• Willing to be based in NYC and be available to travel 20% of the time• Looking for the opportunity to succeed in a team environment with industry leading brands.Experience:• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in events, sales, media, marketing or similar industry.• A portfolio of past advertising and marketing campaigns• Proven success at developing cross platform marketing programs.• A working knowledge of the current music, live concert and musical gear industry preferred.• A existing history of relationships within the advertising and vendor world• Proven history of successfully executing multiple projects simultaneously• Design, web and social networking knowledge a huge must, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites skill set.No phone calls please.
