The Role
Via direct sales efforts and coordination with Bloomberg Media counterparts, the salesperson will sell sponsorships globally to financial services companies, corporations and professional services firms. This position will be based in New York City.

Responsibilities Include:
-Developing and executing a sales plan to produce 30 - 40 paying clients per year
-Prospecting and generating new sales leads and growth through referrals, cold- calling and market research within your given client base and maintaining a database of contacts
-Coordinating with Bloomberg Media Sales counterparts as needed on accounts that present integrated revenue opportunity
-Working closely with clients to have a clear understanding of their business needs and providing consultative solutions to build stronger relationships
-Maximizing client knowledge and having a comprehensive understanding of our series of conferences in order to have a strategic approach to developing and presenting customized sponsorship proposals
-Demonstrating credibility with a proven competency and knowledge of a variety of industry verticals to include financial, professional, corporate and luxury services
-Produce regular activity/contact reports and revenue pipeline estimates

-Bachelor's degree
-5+ years of recent and relevant sales experience (experience with conferences preferred)
-Strong track record building senior level client relationships
-Proven new business development, relationship and territory management skills
-Extremely proactive, detailed, responsible and able to work well with a team
-Highly consultative and confident in sales approach and strategy
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
-Ability to travel as needed - approximately 25%
