1.Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Journalism or related field preferred; or, combination of substantial related experience, training, and education may substitute. 2.At least 3 years of relevant experience with thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules and the ability to articulate the reasons behind editing choices.3.Exceptional command of the English language, grammar, and punctuation.4.Well-developed formal and informal writing abilities, which can be applied to editing products that target a variety of audiences, from regulators to the general public (some writing may be required outside of the editing process).5.Considerable knowledge of AP Style, NCARB’s preferred resource for citing sources and other points of style; familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style. 6.Knowledge and experience in large, multi-channel, integrated communication campaigns preferred.7.Collaborative communication style with the ability to speak and write very well and build strong relationships.8.High level of flexibility, responsibility and inquisitiveness.9.Superior customer service skills.10.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with wide-range of professionals.11.Ability to maintain a positive attitude while under pressure.12.Detail oriented and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.13.Proficient in Adobe (PDF) Applications and Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point. 14.Internet use required; some knowledge of HTML or experience in editing websites preferred but not required.NCARB is an EEO employer committed to recruiting a diverse workforce.
