The Advertising Business Development team at Pandora is responsible for monetizing all unsold ad inventory as well as creating indirect revenue generating opportunities with revenue ownership in the tens of millions a year.

Description:

  • Actively manage several key partners

  • Proactively manage the deal flow and process from negotiation, delivery, reporting to billing reconciliation. Provide accountability metrics and goals to partners

  • Work with the team on all assigned accounts to drive additional revenue, make formal recommendations for optimizing ad placements and overachieve on the team’s goals

  • Expert understanding of pre-emptible ad inventory monetization and yield optimization strategy, knowledge of monetization strategy and system implementations and proactively drive this strategy while taking into account system developments and existing demand partners

  • Provide proactive direction to demand and supply channels surrounding yield opportunities and levers to maximize revenue, including the identification and communication of potential short term inventory opportunities

  • Understand full scope of Pandora’s business including direct ad sales, inventory trends, existing ad products and understand how mobile monetization fits into larger business strategy

  • Develop expert-level functional and technical understanding of Pandora’s suite of ad products and systems

  • Be a role model for Pandora’s company culture


Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree, MBA a plus

  • 5+ years experience including 3-5 years of related business development in online advertising or mobile. Experience in a digital media, mobile apps or publishers, ad network or exchanges, trading desks, SSP and/or related start-up is strongly preferred

  • Passion for and deep understanding of mobile monetization solutions and industry trends, strong knowledge of performance advertising and yield optimization

  • Impressive ability to negotiate deals, think both strategically and creatively, and understand complex, nuanced product issues

  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate efforts across a large organization (both internally and externally) to achieve key deliverables

  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously

  • Desire and ability to brainstorm, work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
