Our Los Alamitos, CA office is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Managing Editor:


•Responsible for operational publishing oversight, including the coordination (both volunteer and vendor) of the production of each issue on time and within budget. This might include copy editing and rewriting as required for technical focus, target audience, and publishing medium.
•Primary point of contact with high-level volunteers (EIC, ed board, authors), diplomatically dealing with people who might not have time/energy to conform to expected editorial standards.
•Provide ideas, and plans for implementing those ideas, to more firmly take the magazine from the print to digital domain.
•Point person for content generation team’s major projects, including those related to publishing models, data analysis, and budgets.


•A BA/BS Degree.
•We require at least 6 years of editorial experience and strong language and organizational skills.
•The candidate must also possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with high-level executives, volunteers, and vendors to diplomatically enforce appropriate quality levels in editorial products.
•The candidate must be able to edit, summarize, and rewrite technical prose without impairing technical content.
•The candidate must be willing to explore new frontiers in publication.
