Research Manager

This person should have experience dealing with research vendors, questionnaire design, focus group moderation, online survey tools, running and analyzing data in syndicated sources.

Should be familiar with Powerpoint, Word and Excel (vlookups), and have knowledge of Microsoft Access databases, etc.

Required Skills:

Must have working knowledge of the following applications: Kantar Media, Nielsen Galaxy Explorer, IMS, MEMRI

Must have thorough understanding of Nielsen ratings data, MRI, TRU and other syndicated research. Manage relationships and agreements with research vendors such as Nielsen, OTX, MDR, Research Now, Mai and Kantar.

Build sales and marketing materials (as needed) - collaborate on sales materials, one sheets etc., time spent varies depending on need (client, sales pitch, new category, etc.)

Confident and experienced in presenting research findings to and collaborating directly with clients when required in support of business units.

Online surveys -. Work with sales team and/or marketing to determine the need for data that does not exist in traditional syndicated studies (MRI/TRU). Design and program online questionnaires using online survey tools such as QuestionPro, monitor sample quotas and completes as recruited by a third party recruiter, code and analyze data. Work with marketing to incorporate findings into generic category presentations, client specific and one-sheets. When requested surveys are executed for Programming as well.

Manage and study client and proprietary research.


Run and analyze syndicated and Nielsen Ratings data to support sales and other departments. Assist in various other projects and proprietary research studies executed throughout the year.
