Reporting to the Executive Director of Publicity at Picador, this individual will be a key member responsible for providing assistance for all hands-on publicity and administrative support for the Department and the Director. Specifically, you will provide general office support for the Publicity Department (2 additional staff members), as well as personal assistance to the Executive Director of Publicity, while collaborating on the planning of promotional campaigns for new books.

Major Responsibilities:
• Act as point person for all general phone and email inquiries for the Publicity Dept., including requests for review copies, jacket art and preliminary interview requests
• Draft press materials for galley and finished book mailings as needed
• Assist in preparing tour schedules and major media campaigns
• Assist in drafting and coordinating schedules for author tours, including booking all author travel
• Help update publicity schedules, media summaries, and dept media database
• Handle Publicity Department invoices, billing, and budgets
• Liaison with other departments

Experience Needed:
• Prior experience in book publishing a plus

Educational Background Required:
• Bachelors Degree required, preferably in a relevant subject area
