Associate Web Editor
This position requires someone with top-notch grammar and writing skills, capable of quickly turning around professionally written articles for a physician audience. This position will help generate daily content for OncLive.com, post social media updates, attend medical conferences, and write/edit features for a group of oncology publications. Additional responsibilities include proofreading email newsletters and interviewing oncology professionals. Travel is required. Publishing experience and familiarity with medical/oncology terminology and AMA style helpful.Responsibilities include:•Identify medical/biotechnology news relevant to oncology professionals and write search-engine optimized articles daily•Able to travel 25% of the time to attend professional conferences and film physicians •Work with editorial team to develop compelling content for physicians and nurses, including special features, website highlights, conference coverage, and videos interviews•Post content online (including articles, blog entries, and PDFs of issues) using content management system •Help maintain social media accounts•Attend major oncology meetings to report relevant findings and conduct video interviews•Keep current on developments and trends in oncology and healthcare Qualifications:•Minimum of BA/BS or equivalent editing/journalism experience •2+ years writing/publishing experience, preferably healthcare-related•Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently•Excellent written and verbal communication skills•Superior organizational skills and attention to detail •Strong typing and computer skills•Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment, meeting tight deadlines and high expectations•Familiarity with medical/oncology terminology, AMA Style, and search engine optimization techniques a plusPlease include a cover letter detailing your experience and salary requirement and e-mail to: email@example.com.No recruiters, please.
