Account Executive, Consumer Markets
The Account Executive will work closely with and report to the US head of Luxury. The main responsibilities of the Account Executive include: - Meet or exceed Annual Targets – As broken down across the business lines - New Business Development – Develop new business and incremental revenue streams from new and previously unexplored accounts within your business segments - Account Management – Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders on existing Luxury/Consumer accounts - Sector Communication and Key Sector Management – Ensure sector communication at the FT on a global level and drive global business through communication with US & Global sector teams & National Accts. team colleagues. Attend relevant industry events and stay on top of industry trends/news within the various categories. - Sector Reporting and Salesforce – Gain a detailed understanding of Salesforce and relevant sector reports, and ensure continued updates on business under discussion and client opportunities - Production management – Manage day to day advertising operations of the US edition of “how to spend it” magazine working as the key contact between the US Sales and UK Luxury production teams. REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will have: - A minimum of 5 years experience in the advertising industry with experience in both print and online - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - A strong interest in the Luxury and Travel industries - The desire and will to pro-actively generate new business in a dynamic and growing category - Demonstrated success working collaboratively - A positive, can-do attitude - Related experience developing proposals involving multiple properties and stakeholders - Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with SalesForce or a comparable database program Financial Times is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
