Position: Financial Analyst

Location: New York

Description: Reports to VP, Financial, Planning & Analysis. The analyst will provide analytic, financial planning, and strategic support to select operating areas and Finance management. The ideal candidate is a self starter with strong interpersonal and partnering skills who enjoys a broad range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
Build and manage budget and other financial models.
Support financial planning initiatives including long term planning, budgeting, monthly forecasting and reporting.
Support cross-functional effort to identify and report key financial, operational, and performance metrics. Analyze variances and highlight key trends.
Support monthly accounting close and variance reporting, including preparation of monthly reporting packs.
Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
Develop strong working relationship with budget managers across the network to coordinate collection of monthly financial information and ensure timely reporting of issues.

Skills, knowledge and abilities:
3-5 years finance experience.
Prior experience working in television or media is required. Ability to work independently, under pressure and to manage deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Excellent analytical skills. A strategic thinker who is also proficient in modeling in-depth analyses from the ground up using Excel.
Must have excellent working knowledge of Excel. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of planning systems (Microsoft Dynamics & FRx, SAP) preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with work experience in a financial, quantitative, or analytical role.
