The selected candidate will coordinate the implementation of online communications in support of interactive marketing initiatives for the LIU Brooklyn, Pharmacy, Global, and Hudson campuses. Will also collaborate with campus departments to manage website content, ensure timely publication of updates, and implement improvements in the online user experience under the direction of the Assistant Vice President for Web Communications.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing and Fundraising teams to create and implement online
campaigns and promotions. After incorporating input and direction from team members, execute the online component of campaigns/promotions on the University’s website and other online services.

• Work with campus departments to organize content assets in University’s content management system (CMS) consistent with the University’s templates, guidelines and procedures; and in compliance with accreditation standards and governmental regulations.

• Establish information architecture, user navigation elements, and production workflow processes that are consistent with University processes. Work with content administrators to recommend and execute timely content updates, and search engine optimization.

• Manage the campus’ multimedia assets, including repository and cataloging of items. Integrate assets into campus websites using University’s standard tools and services.

• Coordinate submission of requests from content administrators for changes to CMS page templates and development of new website functionality. Interface with campus departments to define requirements, and ensure consistent implementation across all campus websites. Communicate all change requests to supervisor. Assist with testing and deployment of changes to production site.

• Support and educate administrators across the spectrum in utilizing website content management system.

•Participate, drive, and assist in the production of the annual academic bulletins, including obtaining department updates, incorporating edits and finalizing content.

• Manage and complete any miscellaneous projects, as per supervisor’s direction.

• Alert and elevate any conflicts, issues, project scope changes, etc. as necessary to supervisor.

Qualifications:

• B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with faculty/administrators, vendors, and technical professionals in a timely manner.

• Excellent time management and production coordination skills. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.

• Minimum of one year of experience maintaining website content. General knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, W3C standards, and cross-browser/device best practices.
