Adventure Publishing Group is seeking a full-time editorial/office assistant for its trade publications that cover the toy and youth entertainment industries, as well as the licensing industry. The ideal candidate is seeking an entry-level position yet has a strong background in editorial.

We are looking for an organized, motivated self-starter who can meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines and who excels at multi-tasking. Layout skills are integral to the position; applicants should be proficient in QuarkXPress or InDesign, with a flair for creativity in layouts. Social media skills are a must. The right person is familiar with WordPress, Facebook, and Twitter, and knows how to actively engage with followers/fans.

Responsibilities include writing blog posts, short news items, and departments; copy editing; social media; some editorial production; and layout of editorial pages. As office assistant, responsibilities include a variety of administrative duties, such as answering the phones, coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, ordering office supplies, prepping products for media segments, mailing invoices, etc.

Bachelor's degree required, with English or journalism preferred.
