The Account/Marketing Director is part of our Client Services team, reporting to a Group Director, Client Services. The Account/Marketing Director is first and foremost the primary point of contact between HNW and our clients, and will serve both as the voice of HNW to the client and the voice of the client for the rest of the HNW organization. The Account/Marketing Director will be immersed in the clients’ business, and will develop a deep understanding of their marketing goals and objectives, as well as their organizational structure, culture and internal political dynamic. They will ideally function as an extension of their clients’ marketing team, and be involved in providing strategic input as well as oversight in project execution and delivery. The Account/Marketing Director has shared accountability for financial goal attainment for assigned clients.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
* Demonstrates range of “critical” thinking and decision making skills that shows business and industry knowledge – identifying key elements of an issue, POVs relative to a strategic or creative initiative, deriving implications from research
* Understands the essential dynamics, strategies and drivers of their clients’ business and industry to generate new ideas, enhance client performance and/or develop strategies to help them grow the business
* Understands clients’ vendor landscape and how HNW fits into the clients’ network of partners
* Takes accountability for account performance, quality of work and efficient delivery of solutions
* Leverages expertise in B2B and/or consumer marketing to provide innovative, creative and effective marketing strategic and tactical insights for clients
* Shows willingness to push thinking and agency work in new directions while still delivering against marketing or business need
* Demonstrates an ability to provide a range of alternatives for client and agency decision-making
* Demonstrates role as a trusted advisor by building credibility and maintaining key client relationships that can lead to client referrals
* Acts as a resource to HNW team members in assessing ideas and project direction
* Presents original ideas and provides oversight from development to presentation to execution
* Works closely with Group Director to development of annual plans that include client development plans and forecasts
* Helps manage and monitor client budgets and agency profitability against target goals (P&L)
* Develops proposals and SOWs for client projects that balance expectations of both client and agency
* Ensures key HNW team members are aware of key events related to clients’ business, and that key client partners are aware of relevant updates to HNW (e.g. capabilities, team changes)
* Partners with Group Director to ensure that plans are in place to achieve financial goals of the business for assigned client(s).

Team Leader:
* Maintains positive relationship between agency and client
* Effectively plans and organizes the work of you and your team - assigns, delegates, coordinates, and monitors the work of staff and team assigned to client projects
* Provides effective supervision of agency resources to insure projects are delivered as promised – on time, on budget, meeting marketing or business objectives
* Actively serves as a mentor to team members and establishes career objectives for junior team members (coach and develop skills needed for advancement)
* Helps integrate junior marketing team members, educates them on clients and capabilities and positions them for success

* Bachelor’s degree required
* 8+ years marketing experience, with at least 5 years agency experience required
* Digital/Interactive agency experience preferred
* Financial Services industry knowledge required
* Proven ability to facilitate and direct teams in developing successful cross channel communication strategies and marketing plans required
* Solid project management, team leadership and decision making skills required
* Strong analytical mindset, ability to quickly identify and articulate the components of a complex project or issue
* Ability to recognize and anticipate impact of specific actions on overall project or client relationship
* Ability to think strategically and synthesize disparate information to recognize trends, add value to client partners and drive account planning process
* Ability to effectively multi-task within a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
* Strong marketing fundamentals and ability to effectively evaluate design and user experience required

* Knowledge and experience in the following areas preferred: email marketing, search, social media, mobile, analytics
* Experience with SaaS (software as a service) preferred
* Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with or other CRM preferred
