•Work with senior team to develop and execute strategic communications campaigns in support of advocacy, corporate and non-profit clients
•Write or edit reports, articles, press releases and advisories, fact sheets, talking points, Op- Eds, blog posts/web content, letters to the editor, and commentaries
•Conduct daily media monitoring (traditional and social) and create coverage reports for a range of clients
•Compile and manage press contact lists and regularly pitch stories to targeted press outlets
•Perform background research and create briefing materials for senior staff, in preparation for meetings and calls with clients and potential clients
•Contribute to the development of new business proposals and presentations for prospective clients

•Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in communications, media relations, and/or public relations within business, government, politics, or a related field preferred
•Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills
•Demonstrated capacity for critical, independent, and creative thinking
•Exhibit initiative, resourcefulness and desire to work hard, ability to work well under pressure and meet shifting deadlines
•Experience with and managing digital elements of campaigns and initiatives - including social media, email management, and online advocacy and organizing tools
•Ability to work efficiently with an emphasis on attention to detail
•Demonstrated success pitching media stories and an appetite for doing so
•Solid grasp of digital platforms and tools (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, blogs, etc.)
•Team player with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, the press and other audiences
•Sense of humor

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
