The Role
Bloomberg Businessweek is searching for a Marketing Manager - Subscriber Retention to join our Consumer Marketing department. The person in this role will manage the planning, implementation and evaluation of traditional and digital marketing campaigns for the renewal, billing, gift, and agency businesses of Bloomberg LP media properties including primarily Bloomberg Businessweek, but also Bloomberg Markets and Bloomberg Briefs. This person must be a data-driven marketer who has proven experience in developing and executing successful retention programs for the magazine subscription businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
-Optimize response rates through the execution of creative and impactful retention marketing & gift campaigns
-Develop, implement and analyze test plans to improve retention rates in new and digital subscribers. Provide recommendations to management as they relate to the goals of the department
-Forecast, order and manage inventory of print renewal, billing and gift campaign components.
-Develop and maintain campaign level & lifetime value reporting for renewals, billing and gift businesses. Communicate results to senior management team.
-Complete monthly global production and expense forecasts. Identify opportunities and risks to senior management team
-Work with manager on development of annual worldwide production and expense budget.
-Key strategic initiatives include: conversion to automatic renewal, digital subscription migration and increasing credit card usage.

Key Relationships: The Marketing Manager - Subscriber Retention works closely with a wide range of groups in the company to build, align and create programs that impact subscribers, including:
-Consumer marketing managers to understand and address overall circulation strategies and priorities
-Fulfillment operations teams to coordinate the execution of outbound subscriber campaigns and offers
-Consumer marketing finance and planning to coordinate and refine expense & retention reporting
-Consumer marketing production team to implement gift, automatic billing and renewal wraps
-Internal Bloomberg departments that require expertise in the area of retention marketing

-Bachelor’s degree
-3+ years of recent and relevant experience in a retention marketing function for a magazine subscription business.
-Strong track record of success with subscription retention marketing
-Strong analytical skills; data-driven with demonstrated ability to leverage facts, financial analysis, and insights to evaluate strategic options and recommend course of action
-Strong attention to detail.
-Strong project management skills and experience and the ability to work well under pressure and execute efficiently against aggressive deadlines and changing business dynamics
-Strong knowledge of Excel; strong organizational abilities; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to think creatively and question the status quo, and manage time effectively
-Knowledge of CDS React reporting and key structure is strongly preferred
