We are looking for an energetic, organized assistant to work in our literary department. The position plays a supporting role in both book publication accounting and foreign rights administration. Key components of the job include managing and analyzing royalty statements, learning the mechanics of foreign sales and contracts, and working on behalf of all of the office’s literary agents, primarily in a research capacity. Duties will also include interacting with ICM’s London office, providing the opportunity for wide exposure to the publication division of the agency.

Specific responsibilities of this position include recording details of contracts, managing/analyzing royalty statements, researching contract rights and payments, organizing documents and foreign editions, data entry, and other varied administrative duties.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, be extremely detail-oriented, and have strong analytical skills. Time management skills and the ability to multitask are crucial. Proficiency in Word and Excel is required, and foreign language skills are welcomed.
