Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Donor Relations, this position will assist in the development, implementation and management of university-wide stewardship and donor relations communications program designed to foster and nurture long-term, meaningful relationships between UC Irvine and its donors. The Senior Donor Relations Analyst will have shared responsibility for the management of donor relations website, annual endowment reports and other such correspondence from the Chancellor, VC for University Advancement and other university offices as part of a comprehensive program to maintain regular contact with donors and enhance donor engagement with the University. The position assists with the development and implementation of policies related to the management of the University's fund raising mission.

Responsibilities include development and implementation of an annual donor relations communications plan that informs, educates and acknowledges donors and further enhances and influences their relationship with the university. A comprehensive communication plan will consist of personalized stewardship and impact reports, print and electronic collateral materials, acknowledgement letters, build out and maintenance of a stewardship website and the development of social media channels to engage our constituents.

Salary: 60% of $54,504 - $72,216 Annually
Work Schedule: M-F
Career Position at 60% time.
Must possess a valid California driver license and participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Required:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related subject or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Five years of experience working in an office of communications, marketing and/or development office in a University setting.

Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive communications program to support donor relations and stewardship utilizing print and electronic, web and social media vehicles.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse constituents and high-level groups of individuals in a diplomatic and professional manner.

Resourceful in finding appropriate solutions to problems and initiative in presenting alternatives and implementing solutions to ensure effective change. Ability to anticipate problems and take necessary action to eliminate or mitigate potential negative effects.

Ability to be flexible, work independently and collaboratively with Advancement and faculty and staff to achieve defined goals. Use initiative to organize and follow through with complex tasks to meet deadlines.

Possess good judgment, confidentiality and discretion in communicating with colleagues and constituents.

Ability to create original, innovative design directions and content for a variety of print and electronic communications pieces and social media channels.

Working knowledge of University fund-raising philosophy and practices necessary to be successful in an Advancement Office.

Demonstrated ability to conceive fund-raising communications strategies for a variety of audiences and projects.

Outstanding interviewing, writing, editing and proofreading skills.

Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills with a strong commitment to team work, customer service and open communication.

Strong organizational skills, including a commitment to and track record in both strategic and operational planning.

Demonstrated organizational ability that allows the incumbent to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines and to establish goals and workload priorities.

Ability to translate concepts and ideas into dynamic and effective communications pieces.

Demonstrated skill in project management including the ability to develop and monitor budgets and production schedules.
Extensive working knowledge of personal computers, printers and software, especially Microsoft Word and Excel and other software adopted as the standard for University Advancement.
