Subscription Account Manager
The Chronicle of Higher Education seeks an experienced sales person to join its Audience Development and Circulation department as a Subscription Account Manager. The Subscription Account Manager will be responsible for acquiring and retaining university and nonprofit clients through institutional and group subscription/content sales. The Subscription Account Manager will need to establish strong relationships with College and University clients, as well as library consortia groups, building audience growth and revenue through sales of site licenses and associated product/services upgrades. This includes representing The Chronicle’s site licenses services at appropriate library conferences and other events. S/He will also need to manage existing site license businesses to academic, nonprofit, government, corporate, and other institutions in the US and around the world.The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills to develop relationships with customers. They must also have outstanding verbal and written communication ability. Preferably, candidates should also have an understanding of the buying process within higher education and philanthropy markets. Education and Experience:A bachelor's degree and a minimum of four to six years of sales and account management experience, with demonstrated and verifiable track record of meeting and exceeding revenue expectations. Experience selling content or subscriptions to institutions preferred. Experience with higher education and/or nonprofit clients preferred.
