Your tasks
We are currently seeking a Marketing Manger to join the Random House Speaker Bureau team. The Random House Speakers Bureau represents world-class authors, leaders, and thinkers. The division works to secure paid speaking engagements for its talent roster at corporate conferences, literary series, universities, and libraries across the world.

This position provides tremendous growth potential and affords an opportunity to work with all of our publishing groups in our endeavor to generate engagements and raise visibility for our world-renowned speaking talents. The Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President, Random House Speakers Bureau. Duties include:

-Conceive of effective marketing strategies and initiatives for the Speakers Bureau
-Compile and produce marketing content and materials to promote the Speakers Bureau and our speaking talent
-Oversee content strategy on the Speakers Bureau website, including creating daily blog entries and relevant video footage, working closely with the Agent Directors
-Manage the newsletter program and the social networking accounts for the Bureau
-Support Vice President in key venue management and outreach efforts
-Support Vice President in managing internal outreach and relationships with our Special Sales and Academic & Library Sales teams
-Other project work as needed

Our requirements
The ideal candidate has a BA in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field, as well as at least five years of relevant professional experience in a marketing capacity.

Candidate should demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment. Experience in book publishing is beneficial, but not required. Candidate should also be a self-starter with impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills. It is essential that the candidate is comfortable working in a small team environment and therefore possesses a proactive and independent approach to work, including excellent research and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate is savvy with social media, SEO, web development, Google Analytics, etc. and proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Outlook and Excel.
