The Brand Manager will manage the overall publishing plan for Time and Fortune branded books and own the plan's bottom line results. The Brand Manager serves as the primary contact in cross functional team; interacting with all departments of publishing division including edit, sales, production, research, finance, and marketing to drive product development and move overarching brand strategy forward.

Responsibilities include: publishing strategy & development, book marketing and PR, P&L management, research, contract negotiation and execution. Specific responsibilities include:
- Publishing Strategy: Own and execute Time & Fortune publishing strategies; hitting current year goals and ensuring long-term viability through top and bottom line growth
- Product Development: Manage all aspects and stages of book development, from concept generation, research and analysis, optimizing editorial mix, competitive analysis, title proposals and launch, and editorial cover feedback
- Marketing: In conjunction with the marketing team, assist in development of the marketing, execute and analyze marketing campaigns, including email, print and banner ads, advertising strategy, editorial integration and social media marketing; Candidate should be able to think strategically about new marketing sources.
- P&L Management: Responsible for creating and tracking book P&Ls incorporating sales and expense estimates and tracking actual costs vs. estimate
- Other responsibilities include contract negotiation, liaison with core magazine divisions, ad hoc reporting and task forces

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of publishing experience
- Experience with brand management and P&L management
- A self starter who possess an entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong interpersonal, analytic and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with good verbal communication and writing skills
- Proficient in creating and updating Excel spreadsheets and Word documents
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in Business, History and Current Events a plus.
