The AMI Digital Entertainment group (including sites such as, and is looking for an Audience Development Manager to help grow readership of our digital properties. This role will help us grow traffic through a combination of social media; editorial outreach to mainstream media, blogs and aggregators; search engine marketing; content syndication; email newsletter growth and general site marketing.

Specific Responsibilities:

-Editorial Support
-Work with editorial to optimize story development based on previous traffic performance. This could include informing editorial of trending topics; tips for search engine optimization and/or new editorial feature development
-Help guide posting considerations like time and frequency of publishing
-Editorial Outreach
-Pitch stories to lists of publications and media outlets where they may get picked up and drive traffic
-Develop relationships with editors of major referring sites
-Search Engine Marketing
-Assure that all sitemaps and RSS feeds are being picked up properly.
-Manage any PPV campaigns
-Perform keyword research and write metadata copy for pages and new web features
-Monitor Search traffic (including keywords) and help organize topic pages around those keywords
-Content Partnerships and Syndication
-Work with management to develop content syndication deals with major portals and aggregators.
-Manage ongoing contact with portals and aggregators including story syndication fulfillments
-Social Media Management
-Work with editorial and the rest of the audience development team to manage all social media communications
-Manage Twitter feed
-Manage Facebook page
-Manage social aggregators and referrers (StumbleUpon, Pinterest, Digg, Reddit, Fark, etc.)
-Email List Development
-Manage all email list development efforts
-Improve email performance
-Traffic Reporting and analysis
-Constant monitoring of traffic patterns and current traffic levels
-Analyze and improve site metrics and KPI's.
-Development of custom reports to help maximize traffic-driving initiatives

Desired Skills & Experience:

-Candidate should demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, the ability to multi-task and shift gears quickly.
-Minimum 1 year in an audience development role with significant experience leading large-scale traffic growth on a major media property.
-Hands-on experience with Google Analytics and/or similar tools essential.
-Hands-on experience with SocialFlow, Hootsuite and Chartbeat highly preferred.
