The RoleBloomberg Government (BGOV) is a web-based information product that reports on, analyzes, and quantifies the impact of government actions on business and industry. This new product is marketed to those most impacted by government actions, including Congress, the Administration, Beltway influencers (lobbyists, associations, etc.), and business leaders (C-suite executives, federal contractors, internal government affairs teams, etc.). As a Bloomberg offering, the product brings the same unparalleled level of data-based and fact-based, objective reporting and analysis to policymaking as the company has provided to the financial community for the past 29 years. This position will report into the Director of Communications and work in close coordination with the Bloomberg Central Marketing organization, Corporate Communications and BGOV Sales. The incumbent will define, implement and track marketing programs to increase top and bottom line performance of the business, with the focus being online, direct marketing and sales enablement programs. Responsibilities:- Develop and implement marketing programs to increase adoption and use of BGOV within the federal market space.- Create appropriate positioning, messaging and branding programs to differentiate BGOV from the competition and ensure alignment with the overall Bloomberg brand.- Develop and implement lead contact strategy. Build, implement and measure lead nurturing and e-mail marketing programs in conjunction with central marketing team.- Provide regular reporting, analysis and recommendations on performance of all marketing programs, using analytics to evaluate and improve results. This includes lead tracking and monitoring, as well as analysis of Marketing ROI.- Continue roll-out of BGOV webinars as channel to new markets, working with third-party organizations and central marketing teams.- Maintain and update marketing site messaging and landing pages, in line with concurrent marketing campaigns and product evolution.- Manage online marketing efforts including paid search, SEO, and display advertising.- Develop new collateral and sales support materials in conjunction with central marketing organization and sales teams.- Support event marketing as needed.- Working with communications and analyst teams to support on-going social media campaigns as needed.- Maintain marketing budget.Qualifications- A bachelor's degree is required. MBA or related advanced degree would be preferred.- 5+ years experience in responsible marketing roles, particularly with direct and online marketing.- Understanding of marketing tactics in B2B and/or B2G subscription businesses.- Operational capability, including planning, organization, metrics tracking and project management.- Comfort and experience with data driven, analytical decision making.- Facility with all communication (verbal, written, etc.)- Comfort with fast-paced, rapidly changing business requirements and entrepreneurial environments- History of marketing in the government services and/or federal contracting market is desirable.
