The Advertising and Promotions department at HarperCollins Children's Books is currently seeking a Senior Director of Integrated Marketing to build and manage multi-platform advertising and marketing campaigns that attract readers and new fans. This position will be responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for advertising and promotional programs including supervising all aspects of ad planning, ad trafficking, promotional efforts, sales support programs, as well as management of our catalog and design departments - all of which will integrate and align with overall corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage direct strategy, programs and tactics across multiple advertising and promotional campaigns.
- Help in the development of product positioning and brand messaging for high-profile books and franchises, best-selling authors and emerging properties.
- Manage and streamline design department processes and functions.
- Allocate and adhere to fiscal year budget for key corporate initiatives and programs as well as overall department budget. Continually review and re-allocate financial resources as needed. Manage budget and ROI for each campaign spend.
- Oversee marketing departmental logistics and processes, including: ad trafficking, production grids, seasonal schedules and mailings and strategic sales and marketing meeting prep.
- Review media and ad schedules for maximum effectiveness and results.
- Ensure timely creation and delivery of all marketing materials as dictated by multiple groups, including: monthly solicitation kits, e-catalogs, sales conference materials, trade show materials, co-op and/or in-store materials and promotional displays.
- Create comprehensive advertising and promotional strategies targeting consumers and retailers, incorporating both digital and traditional media with an emphasis in targeting readers in the social media space, web and mobile platforms and interactive advertising efforts.
- Establish key partnerships (online and offline) with 3rd parties to further reach and appeal.
- Plan for long -range growth of the publishing division and marketing department by reviewing past campaigns performances and seek future improvements; communicate the goals, needs and results of the department to department head.
- Coordinate outside resources and vendors; bring projects to completion and track progress and expenses throughout each campaign.
- Work closely with other areas of the children's marketing department and departments within the division including: Sales, Managing Editorial, Creative Services, Editorial, Inventory and Production.
- Review and share post-mortem campaign analysis of each measureable ad buy for future opportunities.
- Research industry trends and tools to identify new platforms/partners that HC can engage with.

Required Qualifications:
- 7 - 10 years management experience in advertising, media, marketing, digital arenas. Knowledge of publishing business a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills, project management, communication, budget management, organizational, prioritization and presentation skills a must.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, proficient in Microsoft Office and social media.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across the division and within the company.
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects at once.
- Must possess a dynamic, creative spirit and be comfortable presenting In front of large groups.
- Ability to think out-of-the-box, and not be afraid to try new technologies.
- An understanding of the children and/or teen marketplace and ability to identify with key contacts and programs within this space a plus.
- Experience leading digital media and creative agencies preferred.
