The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing strategy that supports all SANDOW initiatives while increasing brand equity and online awareness. This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, creating, deploying, managing and contributing to all media channels and optimizing all strategic marketing programs in an effort to achieve corporate objectives while ensuring a consistent marketing message and strengthening SANDOW’s position in the market. Strong corporate communications are a must.

•Minimum FOUR YEARS of experience in the publishing industry, preferably Shelter
•Design, manage and implement marketing initiatives including website management, email campaigns, co-marketing opportunities, search engine marketing, event coordination, social networking, blog management and online advertising opportunities.
•Oversee copywriting and design of collateral materials.
•Analyze and evaluate both existing and potential marketing activities and strategies; develop and execute advanced marketing strategies for all brands in an effort to improve our overall market share.
•Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of marketing programs and analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results; provide recommendations for improvement and propose new programs.
•Manage day-to-day activities including online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions, event planning, etc.
•Develop unique value propositions, business partnerships, and programs that are targeted toward key consumer segments.
•Develop and manage budgets, reports and metrics; understand and implement coding schemes for the purpose of tracking. Survey the marketplace for new and existing marketing trends, demographic factors and competitive marketing plans/optimization strategies.

Education: BS/BA in arts or sciences, with emphasis on business, marketing or advertising
