Mullen is seeking a Director of Digital Strategy to join our Pittsburgh team. The primary function of the Director of Digital Strategy is to improve and maximize the firm's knowledge, skills, and abilities in the areas of digital marketing and technology-driven marketing initiatives. This is not about creating or sustaining a separate "digital department," but rather serving as a resource, advisor, mentor, and evangelist in the organization.This role will entail:- Leading digital "evangelization" initiatives within the firm.- Identifying what the digital competitive landscape looks like on a client's business and assessing overall digital competitiveness.- Serving as thought leader in aligning digital marketing strategy with a client's business goals and objectives.- Working with the brand teams to help define scope and recommended approach for major digital projects for clients.- Serving as a resource for creative teams in the development of insight driven digital strategies from opportunity identification through to experience definition.- Providing methodological support, coaching, professional development and training to staff.- Working with Analytics team to identify key performance indicators for digital.- Working with Account Team to ensure that digital vision/strategies get pulled through to a tactical level.- Codifying and publishing formal frameworks and methodologies for approaching digital assignments within the firm.- Playing an active role in new client acquisition and new business presentations.- Staying abreast of emerging digital trends and emerging digital landscape (including social and mobile).- Being a digital thought leader within the agency and developing thought leadership content (white papers, blog posts, webinars, etc…).

Four-year degree is required.- 10+ years' experience in digital marketing. - Strong passion for and knowledge of technology and digital marketing. - Team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence quickly. - -- Ability to thrive in a fluid and entrepreneurial environment. - Strong familiarity with digital metrics. - In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and digital disciplines (including audience identification and analysis, targeting, experience design, digital production, and online analytics.)You must be eligible to work in the United States to be considered for this role.Mullen is an eoe encouraging diversity in the workplace.
