Excited about what Puppet is doing and want to be a part of it?We are hiring an Instructional Designer to design and develop instructional material for instructor-led and online learning materials for our products. In this role, you will demonstrate effective needs analysis, project management, instructional design, and learning evaluation skills. You will independently develop entry and advanced level learning materials for both internal and external audiences for on-site and virtual classroom delivery. You'll apply multimedia technology and authoring tools, and act as an integral part of our education teams in determining needs of the training audiences and appropriate methods of direct and virtual delivery. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related area. * Minimum 3 years related instructional design and/or technical writing experience. * Experience delivering training through online media, downloadable media, etc. and generating videos, pod/webcasts, and graphics for use in virtual and onsite classroom-based training. * Experience working with Engineers in an open source community. * Experience with Puppet and/or other configuration management tools. * Linux/Unix sysadmin experience. * Excitement about working with Open Source. * Passion for virtual training. * Self-motivated and self-directed, with excellent time and project management skills.Preferred but not required: * Ruby * Knowledge of ILMS or SCORM * Web-development * Puppet Professional Certification Application Instructions With your online application, please include a cover letter addressing the following:1.
